Welcome to the First International Conference on Microneedles, to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA from the 23rd to 25th of May 2010. This meeting is the first international symposium solely dedicated to microneedle research covering topics including microneedle fabrication, formulation, applications, and pre-clinical and clinical exemplification of microneedle technologies. The meeting will provide a stimulating forum for research exchange, discussion and networking through presentation of leading research by Keynote and Invited Speakers, an Industry Session focusing on commercially focused microneedle technologies and a short course on techniques for microneedle fabrication, formulation and biological assessment. Networking opportunities include dedicated time for poster presentations and a conference banquet. The conference fee structure hopes to encourage both established and young scientists to attend this exciting event, which is to be held in a new campus conference facility in the heart of Atlanta. Opportunities for delegates and accompanying persons to enjoy Atlanta in the spring will also be provided.
The success of this meeting will depend upon the input and enthusiasm of delegates, and we invite all of those interested in this research area to contribute through registration and abstract submission.
